Throttle body spacer

Has any purchased a throttle body for a mercury marauder and had good luck with it. Also is there a noticeable difference. Thanks William

I know of a few that have bought them. Concensus seems to be throttle response may be somewhat better, no real appreciable horsepower gain though. There are better things to spend your money on. Not highly recommended as a mod but won't do any harm.

Its called a intake spacer, and yes, i have one. I paid $25 for it used, and i would have been dissapointed if i payed anything more. Seems that low rpm power has actually decreased, while mid and high range *might* have gotten better, results are from my butt-o-meter....all in all, dont waste your time or money.

There are two different spacers...

One spacer that goes inbetween the TB and intake. These aren't worth anything.

The other is one that goes inbetween the upper and lower intake. These in conjunction with other mods may increase HP & torque.

I believe the OP was referring to the TB spacer.

For maximum power gains and increased gas mileage......Both!

And whistle-tips in your exhaust pipes for more HP!

To the OP:
I added an intake spacer for more plenum volume, but that mod was done at the same time as many others, so I cannot attest to any HP gains attributable to just the intake spacer.
