i discovered this sometime ago but could never pinpoint the problem as i was always driving when it happened. Finally got it after some fiddling and yeah my left rear speaker appears to have some sort of electrical noise coming from it.
Diagnosis anyone?
heres the intense buzzy action

Sounds like electrical interference.

oh i forgot to mention. the sound reacts to anything using power. when i turn on the fob lights for example is tones down or when i accelerate it almost disappears.

Its definitely electrical interference. It could be anything....engine vibrations, exhaust vibration, alternator spinning, etc. How to get rid of it....i do not know....better you than me :P. Maybe wrap the wires going to the speaker in foil. Im no expert with this stuff, i dont know exactly why it happens. Hopefully someone here will chime in to give you a better understanding.

Could be coming from sub. It fires into cabin next to LR speaker. Go in trunk & unplug it and then see if noise still there.
My rear speakers eminate a booming sound.

your speaker/woofer is blown, ive had that happen to few oem subs, the resistor dies, and takes the speaker/sub with it , thats why the buzzing is coming from the left side where the factory sub is located, disconnect power to the sub, and your buzz will be gone.

I'm thinking +1 on this ^^^
Back in the day when I used a tape adapter, I remember hearing a similar sound.

I'd try claening the tape deck see if that helps any. Does it make the noise with the radio on or a cd in?

electrical interference through the tape deck head via the junk adapter plugged into the head unit, falls under FCC Part 15 rules.
