Read about it here. A big price tag $45K limited production. Predict it will cancel in two years. Same idea as Marauder, IMO.

Buy a used G8 and save the cash.

I've seen a few and for what you pay, it is very bland like its sister the Caprice.

Seriously.

Even with a V8 RWD, these cars are no where near as good looking.

I blame cafe.

have yet to see an SS on the street I am looking. see 4 or more new vettes everyday, more than 12 vettes at dealership but no SS, interesting. Are they using same engine as in Camaro SS ? Very pleased with how my Marauder dose against them out in the street with less HP ! :) 45K for chevy seems high IMHO thanks

It has the LS3 motor. Honestly for what this car has I thought it would be more expensive. It has many bells and whistles that I didn't expect. The MM is a smoother ride but the "grunt" this car has is very impressive. With the Brembro brakes, heated and cooled seats, Nav/app radio with Bose, sunroof, leather/suade seats, heads up display, heck it even will parallel park itself, crash braking, along with many other options I really would have thought it would be in the 50's. I'm gonna enjoy this ride!

You can buy a SHO that has all of that for only a couple grand cheaper and have awd. But I think both cars are good looking and are pretty close to the same price. Me I would go with the SHO cause I would really use the awd in the winter. Plus I like the looks of the SHO better. Don't get me wrong I like the looks of the impala ss. Oh I mean Chevy ss I got corrected when I was looking at one and called it a impala ss.

Seen one on the Chevy lot. The sound is real nice. From what I've seen of the interior it looks pretty good. I agree with the car being bland, but...It's a sleeper as is the Marauder, Impala SS and most other muscle cars...I remember when Pontiac started putting ground effects and hood scoops and all the add ons and they were panned for it. Saying it wasn't needed, looked gaudy etc...And now that Chevy has this very stream lined cruiser beast in just a plain t-shirt and jeans it's called bland. Really need to make up some minds I think...wasn't the old GTO just a "supped-up" LeMans of sorts...

AWD really means FWD with a driveshaft tacked on the transaxle.

The only problem I see is that it looks like every other current import and American model on the road today. Great if you want to blend in.............

I prefer not to blend in.............

Bet you never get anyone stop and ask you about this car.

Believe it or not, I've been asked more about what this car is than I do on the Marauder. Especially when I fire it up. The rumble it has, stock, it pretty good.

I'll agree with that.

It seems to me everything that screams Americana and proud of it is going away. The face of America is changing folks and not for the better. Goodness knows I get chidded at work for liking all American food (burgers, hot dogs, etc) as being "low brow" but let's all go out to lunch and get some bok choy! :-(

That's not a bad idea. Get you a new car with a proper layout and engine! Way to go Chevy!

Ford doesn't build muscle sedans anymore. Not going to happen. A FWD-AWD ecoboost is Ford's idea a Muscle Car and is the best you're gonna get from the blue oval. Better look for Mopar, Chevy, hell even Hyundai lol

Saw one of these Chevy's roll by just yesterday. silver with big fat tires stuffed underneath. Even had the forward rake with bigger wheels (?) and Tires in back.

Gotta say, it looked much much better in person. If it is big enough and nice enough inside, this could be a winner!

LOL, I remember having this argument with my late Father in Law when Caddy was only building FWD cars. I was busting his chops that he either needed to buy a truck or a Ford or a Ford truck.
He swore to me Caddy and GM would be back with V8 RWD platforms and I told him "Not Going To Happen"

So what's in my driveway? 03 MM and a '14 CTS V wagon. Guess he won that argument......

I saw CWright's car at Mo's and I had no clue what it was. I did like it a lot. Inside and out. The exhaust note was perfect while impressive for a stock car.

Looks SSweet to me. They looks sharp in person and the exhaust note it great for a stock car! Enjoy.

We use the AWD Ford at work. It is fast out of the gate, but it sounds like a weed eater or a minivan. Actually the Charger is still quicker after about 40 mph. Nothing better than the sound of dual pipes and a V8. I so wanted the Caprice my organization had, but they kept it close to HQ. It had more room inside than either the Ford or Dodge.

Any plans for the SS?
