Hi everyone,

I want to buy my own diagnostic scan tool. For those of you that have your own, what brand and model do you have? How much did it cost and do you like it? My local O'Reilly's stock the Innova brand and they range from $60 to $240.

This one is in my price range.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the Actron CP9580A.

Whichever unit you end up with, and I hear the Innova stuff is good, too, make sure it will read ABS codes. I saved the entire cost of the Actron unit using it just once to fix an ABS issue on Mary's car. Turned out to be a bad wheel-speed sensor. $70 for a new sensor and done. Taking it to a shop would have been 3-4 times that.

Just got an Autel AL419. It's a discontinued model but the company still supports it with updates.

Will this thing cycle the ABS to bleed it like the Ford IDS tool?
