This mechanical monster is evidently replacing the car crusher. Remember those big loads of flattened cars on 18 wheelers going down the highway??
This sucker even grinds up engine blocks. I don't know what powers it, but there has to be a lot of gears and power to keep it moving. Intriguing......better not slip and fall into this thing!!!

A friend of mine works at a huge scrap recycling center in Ohio. That thing is a baby compared to the one that he feeds. Its pretty crazy. Sad thing is that most of it goes right into train cars that are headed straight for China...

The VB 950 has a single Caterpillar C18 diesel engine pushing out 710PS (700hp) and…440,000Nm (324,483 lb-ft) of peak torque, and if that doesn't impress you, how about the VB 1500 that has two C18 diesel mills delivering 1,500PS (1.479hp) and - wait for it- 1 million Nm or 737,463 lb-ft!

I'm sure it would feel like it if the car went on a massive diet! :burnout:

[COLOR=blue][FONT=Calibri]This mechanical monster is evidently replacing the car crusher.
It looks like it was built for some other purpose like maybe pulping logs or something. The hopper and feed tray look undersized to handle the feeding process for cars. I thought that the car was going to pop off of back of the grinder until the grapple hook came in to seize it and stand it upright. One purpose built for cars ought to be twice a large.
Boy, I would have fun feeding it Toyotas and Hondas all day long. :D
