Out of the blue now have a miss in the DOHC engine. I have a scanner that cam with the car that shows and ignition module code, but I have to admit that is the end of my knowledge with all this new fangled EFI crap.
Anything I can do at home or get my scanner to tell me which one?

Maybe tell us the code and we might be able to help better?

I misread the title of the thread. I thought this was a Miss Marauder pageant. :)

The scanner I have does not give a number code like some GM code readers I have seen in the past. This just says Ign Mod. I figured the computer could tell which of the 8 was misfiring.

I dont think these cars have a ignition module. Just the coils. Need a good scanner to find out which hole is missing.

If your car is supercharged I'm sure you have a hand held tuner for it. They will read codes too.

That is what I have, a Hand held tuner . I will get it back out and tell you the brand.

Just start pulling the coils off the spark plugs one at a time. When you get to the one where there is no change, that's the bad coil pack. Sometimes you can hear it out each side of the exhaust pipes. I had a coil go bad and I could tell it was the right side because the right side exhaust sounded different. Started pulling coils and I could tell it was the second from the front because there was no change in engine rpm when I pull it.

That can be a technique to use BUT sometimes the coil packs work at under but show failure under load.

I just replaced all of mine yesterday. Jeff at Mo's hooked it up to their diagnostic machine and found 1,2&8 not firing right. What prompted this was hesitation at the beginning of acceleration. I kept the good ones as back up's.

Turned out to be a bad spark plug. Changed all 8. Took pics and kept the old ones. WIll double check the new ones in 2000 miles.
