Until I find another set of Marauder wheels, what would be the most suitable spare setup to carry in my 2004 Marauder? I plan on a trip to the track again soon to finish off my stock rear BFG's. :burnout: Just in case I get a little carried away...:P ;)

18" wheels that fit the Marauder's bolt pattern.

Unless you have big brake kit, Various crown vic wheels fit and various mustang rims too. you can use 16" rim, just need to use proper size tire/height really.

So, it might be best to go find a 03+ CVic or GM in the junkyard and pick up a rim and tire or two. Would that work?

It will work . I had 16 inch steelies on mine while rims were being refinished. Crown Vic rubber is short compared go marauder

Will it mess with my TC?

The rim size doesn't matter..The tire size will..crown vic tires are short compared to marauder. You would need a taller tire.

RubberCtyRauder ... crown vic tires are short compared to marauder. ...
Depends upon which wheel (rim+tire) you're talking about. The Crown Victoria wheel is the same diameter as (or VERY close to it) the front Marauder wheels - 27.2" (CV) vs 27.3" (MM).

The full-size Marauder spare wheel is the 27.3" variety (same as front) and NOT the rear (28.6").

The diameter of the Marauder temporary spare (T155/80D18) is 27.8" which puts it in the middle (or close to it) between the Marauder front<>rear.

Of the two OEM Marauder spares the temporary would be the best size-wise diameter.

Or ... Just get a rim that has the 2003+ Panther rim spec's (4½" x 5 bolt pattern, 1¾" offset, 6¼" backspacing, and 2¾" center bore) and mount an appropriate sized tire that has a 27.8" diameter.

Did the CVics come with 16 or 17" wheels? Do you know what the stock tire size was for the CVic?

gDMjoe..I was thinking more along the lines of the 225-60-16 tires..they are shorter by like an inch.
Crown vics came with 225-60-16 and 235-55-17

More like a ½" (26.6" - 16 / 27.2" - 17). OK, OK - .6" :D

True that.

Examples of 27.8" (or close to it) combinations ... 16" - 225/65 (27.5")
.
17" - 245/55 (27.6")
.
18" - 245/50 (27.6")And YES all of the above tire sizes are valid.
