Any good quality dino oil. Right now I have 3 cases of Valvoline 5w / 20w -- oil is dumped every 2500 Miles.

I would normally do this myself, but I have been working so damn much that I usually take it to my local Ford dealer and have them put in the Motorcraft filter and Motorcraft 5W20. I think that is now a semi-synthetic oil they use. On my Mustang, I always have had good luck with Valvoline oil products. So, that is what will go in the Mustang, a Motorcraft FL1A and Valvoline 5W30 (still not sure if 10W30 would be better in the brand new engine, though)

Yes good old Dino the synthetic long interval thing isn't for me.
I will not keep oil in a crank case for 5,000 miles - 10,000 miles- no way/
Too toxic and acidic for me

may i ask why???, with the advancements in fluids and the many oil analysis companies why would you not extend the intervals??

If I waited that long, I would be changing my oil every 5-8 years, Mobil 1, once a year, sometimes my oil is even rusty....

thats a different case since you dont drive your car that often but for other like me who DD their cars, theres no good reason not to use a synthetic with a extended interval

Advancements in fluids and the many oil analysis companies will not do anything to diminish the filth and corrosives which do accumulate in oil.
Oil after 5000 miles looks like black coffee and smells like Hades --I'll pass.

And you obviously are not aware that Amsoil synthetic can be ran at 25K intervals! i ran Amsoil 5w-30 for 20K changing the filter @ 10K , i sent the oil to Amsoil for analysis and they said it was still good, and hadnt broken down at all!
But you cannot compare Valvoline synthetic to Amsoil!:cool4:

@ 10K you sent the oil to Amsoil for analysis and they said it was still good, did not break down at all.
Yes I agree with the marketing department and... the lawyers the oil is still good.
But good for what? By the way did Amsol give you a Ph analysis and tell you what type of particulates were suspended in the sample you sent?
How comprehensive was the analysis?
Mo T. where do you think all the blow by, sludge etc etc is accumulating?
In the filter? No! Its in the oil!
If all that existed was Synthetic oil I would still change it at 2500 mile intervals.
there is way too much crap accumulating in the oil.
Now if the engine was modified to run on a cleaner fuel like propane I would definitely increase the interval between oil changes.
