I have a Zex wet kit that works great. The 125 shot lowered my et by 1.5 seconds down to 12.50 and 60 foot from 1.96 to 1.66

I want to go to a 175 shot and need to retard the timing and change plugs

I know MSD makes a Mod 6 but with the box and adapter it is $600.

Any other ideas on a step retard

thanks

Karl

Why not just get a nitrous tune?

Get a nitrous tune and use BR7EF plug.

won't the nitrous tune back off the timing all the time so when not in nitrous mode, the power would not be optimized? or is the plan to go back and forth and load different tunes for when using nitrous.

This is a daily driver and sees track time about 10 times a year

Thanks Guys

Is that the best plug for a 175 shot of go juice?

Yes is a non projected plug, NGK BR7EF p/n 3346.
I would retard 10 degrees of timing right of the bat then add 2 degrees at a time at the track untill it stops gaining MPH

I would think whomever you getting the tune(s) from should best advise you.
I suggest this tune is done custom on a dyno with your car...

^^^ lol. Nitrous cars should only be tuned at the track by reading the plug and measuring mph. Otherwise is just a guessing game specially on the dyno.

LowbuckMM knocked off .5 seconds with just a tune. Imagine track tuning.. This was only a 100 shot tune that coupled with only pulleys and a CAI and netted 93 RWHP and a WHOPPING 175 RWTQ if I recall! If your still on the stock block and looking to go 175 shot I would really watch it..

Different tunes. One for the track/N2O and street/DD tune. I had a 150 shot I was running for a while. N2O tune was only 4 deg lower at WOT.
