Whoever did that video is a complete idiot. They have the Interceptor concept car but yet are talking about the Taurus/Explorer based Interceptor vehicles.

I've never seen some of those. The GT90 is awesome.
I've always loved the Ford Forty-Nine concept.

I saw it at Carlisle in 2001, when I saw the Marauder concept...

And from now on there is zero chance Ford will ever release a new car design that...
Is 1" bigger than it has to be
Hasn't been homogenized to be likeable by global soccer moms.
Looks like it's from Europe
Has less than $10,000 dollars of useless electronic gadgets that can cripple the car when they break.
Has a v8.
I know lets build brand loyalty by making middle of the road cars exactly like everyone else. Ha ha ha.
Concepts look great. That just makes the above a bigger fail. It's all a big lie.

I like the interceptor concept, they had it at Carlise a few years ago, it looked nice, and i did sit in it and checked it out.
Looks like Instead of the interceptor ford went with the Taurus SHO
I'm partial, but still have to go with the Barris Super Marauder https://www.google.com/search?q=barris+super+marauder&client=firefox-a&hs=PKD&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&tbm=isch&imgil=8BwC5cB6vzKMsM%253A%253B https%253A%252F%252Fencrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com%252Fimages%25 3Fq%253Dtbn%253AANd9GcTKEzn1TQ kw6Lr3W_A4wXj8hlCQ706j3QAnlGYE aVnB_mHWft1Q%253B358%253B200%2 53B4n9YRCuFF5GHLM%253Bhttp%252 53A%25252F%25252Fhomepages.wmi ch.edu%25252F~dillery%25252F19 64%2525252520Barris%2525252520 Super%2525252520Marauder.html&source=iu&usg=__hiIhOofSrVCNqoV5Oj_u9Cb9 cl4%3D&sa=X&ei=hvV8U62uC8bD8QHDgoHoAQ&ved=0CCoQ9QEwAA#facrc=_&imgrc=8BwC5cB6vzKMsM%253A%3B4n 9YRCuFF5GHLM%3Bhttp%253A%252F% 252Fhomepages.wmich.edu%252F~d illery%252FHIPOMERC%252FBarris %252F64test.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%25 2F%252Fhomepages.wmich.edu%252 F~dillery%252F1964%252520Barri s%252520Super%252520Marauder.h tml%3B358%3B200
Why are all but one of these newer? There were some pretty cool old concepts.

1949 Ford, Concept Car
We all know 1949 to be the first year of 'Shoebox' Fords, but now Ford Motor Co. might be coming out with a twist. Yes, the 1949 Ford is now a concept car! Don't believe it? Well just read on!
Fifty years later, an all-new Ford Forty-Nine custom coupe concept car is poised to repeat a bit of history, as it makes its world debut at the 2001 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The purpose of bringing out the 1949 Ford originates "in the passion and excitement of the original, combined with the imagination of people across America who customized the car and turned it into what they thought a really great car should be," says J Mays, Ford Motor Company vice president of Design.
The Tweaks of the Concept
To create the all-new concept Forty-Nine, Ford designers went back to the car's roots - simple shapes, clean body panels and modern conveniences.
The Forty-Nine concept's hyper-smooth appearance is achieved by an all-glass upper body structure with totally concealed pillars and windshield wipers. The exterior finish is velvety black with bright chrome wrapping around the greenhouse and modest chrome accents elsewhere, such as its badging and 20-inch chrome wheels.
The interior also is a modern interpretation of the original car's simple design cues. A cantilevered, bench-style front seat is power-actuated. A floating center console runs the entire length of the interior, giving the impression of four-passenger bucket seating. The floating console houses the 5-speed shift lever and ventilation.
Totally new and modern features include the hardtop door construction and electronic/mechanical door, hood and deck releases.
The interior color theme is two-tone: black and terra cotta. The black leather seats have terra-cotta leather seat backs. Terra-cotta leather also accents the upper door trim panels, instrument panel and package tray. The armrest is leather wrapped in charcoal. The lower door trim panels are finished in metallic silver paint.
The car's primary gauges are contained within a single round instrument binnacle - similar to the hot rods of the era. The analog tachometer takes center stage and is surrounded by the electronic speedometer, temperature, oil and fuel gauges. Audio and climate controls are displayed across a flip out panel at the base of the windshield.
Clean, simple, design cues are conveyed in the rounded high intensity discharge (HID) and projector-beam front lighting. In the rear, sleek, narrow, wrap-around LED tail lamps make a distinctive statement.
A two-tone, leather-wrapped steering wheel features cruise and radio controls on a metal ring, reminiscent of the "horn-ring" popular in the 1950s.
The rear view mirror is positioned along a prominent "wind-split" rod, which extends from the instrument panel to the front header. The mirror can be adjusted up or down along the length of the rod, which serves multiple purposes. It adjusts to the needs of drivers of all sizes and also looks striking. The rod also serves to house the radio antenna, which extends through the roof.
The audio system features a multi-disc CD changer and a strategically placed speaker network, anchored by a massive sub-woofer, all driven by a 200-watt power amplifier.

As bitter and cynical as his list seems, I'm in complete agreement with Odinson. Other than *maybe* the Mustang, Ford build NOTHING today that I am even remotely interested in.
If I had to buy a new car tomorrow, first on the list would be the Challenger.
