So I purchased the DVD Service Manual for my MM off of ebay. Can anyone tell me how to use it? I have a Mac and it isn't reading the DVD as it should. Has anyone else had this problem??

The one I have works great in a Windows machine.

I remember (way back in the day) it was recommended to change the date on the computer. You may need to make it think that it is 2006 again.

It sounds like this isnt just a simple video dvd. Is it an interactive dvd? Is the contents of the disc just a video file or multiple files? Osx comes out of the box ready to play dvds but windows needs a third party codec to even begin to read dvds.

Be careful changing the date back if you automatically delete based on date or age.

It looks like it's multiple files but when I try to open it, it says that it's unable to read the contents. I did read that I may have change the date on the computer itself.

If it's a genuine Ford DVD you have to open up the setup file first and install it. That will give you a shortcut on your desktop to open the program.

Thats odd that it would be unable to read. Never heard of a dvd not being able to play because of the date. Should have a self running exe or something. Im curious to see the contents now.

Yep. It looks exactly like that only it has the year 2004-2005 on the front.

Yep! Back again. Sorry to drop off the face of the earth. LOTs of life changes and grad school kinda killed me for awhile. I have been working on the car and starting some long awaited mods. Every time I open the hood and see the grungy motor I think "this CANT be MY car!"

I am not sure if this will help or not but... I just installed the DVD on my Windows 7 PC.

The DVD I have is NOT an autorun DVD. I had to open "My Computer" and double click the icon.

The DVD-ROM that I have is a 2000 -2003. The computer took a few seconds to read the DVD and I was able to see the contents.

You have to run the setup.exe (as already stated). Once that is complete you should be able to access the contents.

I was also asked for a PACODE... just hit next. No need to enter a code. When asked for an internet connection, select NONE.

You will need adobe reader to see the files. The install program asked me if I wanted to install Adobe Reader 4.x.x and I told the program NO! because I know I already have an up-to-date Adobe Reader on my system.

I did not have to change the date to get the program to work.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. I finally got it to work, I had to install it then change the date on the PC itself.
