So earlier this year, with how long and cold and boring this winter was, I decided I would rent an exotic for my vacation in Vegas last week. I originally wanted to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo, but the more youtube videos I watched, the sound the 458 Italia makes could not be resisted. Glad I did, because the Ferrari's DCT- double clutch trans, is F1 fantastic..

I used Vegas Luxury Rides, and couldn't be happier with their service, If anyone is considering, PM me for details, advice etc.. My buddy rented a drop top gallardo since I had already picked the Ferrari, he ended up loving it.

Here's some pics, I will upload some clips later tonight. Keep in mind I had to be gentle with the car(they have a tracker which tracks hard launches/excessive traction loss, and engine RPM) if you hit the rev limiter it was a $2500 automatic fine.. so don't expect burnout vids and street racing, just some videos put together using my gopro and a samsung galaxy s4 of some cruising on the strip and the desert. These cars were the highlight of the trip, hands-down.

I highly recommend renting one of these, returning it the next day was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Oh and before anyone asks, yes the Ferrari pulls on the Lambo, and yes I would trade my Marauder for one.

Reserved for vids..

EDIT:
Here's a quick compile of some of the local surface streets/strip cruising to give an idea what it's like. These cars get so much attention, everyone films you, asks you to rev it, etc. Listen to those high revving works of art. I will get some clips of the desert and night time hwy cruising soon.

Checked the webpage..coolstuff, but pricey as one could expect and 175 miles limit a day. Congrats on being able to do it:banana:

LOL that was for refreshments and excuse to stare at the cars. I was surprised they were giving us great fuel mileage, until I realized they must have close to a 24 gal tank... they only achieve about 220 miles per tank LOL.

They were great, called them up, gave us a deal for doing both at the same time, showed up for a 6 hour rental, and ended up letting us keep it overnight complimentary. Great, down to earth car people there.

Yeah the 458 was the right choice! The sound alone is amazing! Their has to be a reason why all the car shows highly recommend the 458 over other super cars.

Absolutely. After being in both, the Ferrari is light years ahead of the lambo. Michael Schumacher helped designed the interior. This car is perfect in every way.

Quick vid added on second post.

I stayed at treasure island...it was meh. I went to Haze nightclub at the Aria twice, was pretty nice there.

I heard that Caeser's Buffet was crazy good!..Only had the treasure island one- was alright.

Believe it or not, we scored (9) $80 tickets to get into Hakkasan at MGM for all our crew when sitting in the cars waiting for friends to come out of MGM. Tiesto night. Now that was popping..could barely get in there.

This July 4th? I think I'm doing the tail of the dragon on my bike that weekend. I'll probably head back to Vegas next year, at least to just do the car thing... cruising the desert is like Need for Speed! :burnout:

Over 9,000......

So that's why I was easy on the car, she said don't hit the redline, which is at 9,000. But the paperowrk you sign specifically states you will be fined if exceeding 8500. I did in fact hit about 8500 on a desert run with no repercussions though. It's too hard to not go all out on one of these when you have open road and no cops around.
