Has anyone plasti dipped their entire marauder? Im seriously contimplating this just to protect my paint, the other night some little **** heads eggd my car. Luckily I get up before sunrise and I washed it off but still It would be so much easier to just have a layer of protection over my paint.

Tons of people have been doing it around here. There are even shops that can apply it professionally and it looks pretty decent.

A big ass car like a Marauder would probably be 300-500$

Please post pics if you do. I've always been a fan of the flat black sleeper look

Yeah I like Ochocinco's car. I mean I've always liked old muscle cars from the 60's and 70s, flat black paint, dog dish hubcaps, loud exhaust and a fast engine

I am not sure if I would do it to a Marauder, however. But I need you to do it first so I can see what it looks like

The good thing about plasti dipping versus vinyl is barely any prep work! I did my dirtbike with one and a half cans so I would say 15 cans for the marauder about 75 bucks. Not too bad

Everyone should plastidip their marauder and put 22 inch wheels on it.
That would be so baller

Plastidip won't do much to protect your car from an egging unless you lay it on real thick, like 10-12 coats.

What is inside the egg is not what hurts the paint, it is the shell that cuts the paint and will still cut through the thickness of Plastidip that is typically used when doing a car.

I have about 4 coats on my dirtbike plastics and it prevents scratching fine for the little stuff. But 3m I believe make a paint protector spray like plasti dip that was rated good for rock dings and stuff and can peel off when done. Some guys use it on the rear quarters for drag days!

You don't use rattle cans for the whole car....

You need gallons of the stuff that has been pre-cut and used in a sprayer for the best finish.

I have seen a civic that was sprayed with rattle cans and it did not look bad! Takes more time but flat black textured plasti dip is pretty forgiving. Not saying I would do it lol.

Im really not sure about the purpose of this response... I take it you disagree with plasti dipping?

this isnt a fashion statement. I just want to protect my paint

I did my mustang wheels the other day. Came out great. Just remember to do light coat first. Then apply heavier coats as you go. This achieves a smooth surface.

I have done a few full body sprays with the dipyourcar kit. Super easy, if you have the ability to rattle can you will have zero issues.

Yeah, ask me how I know. :mad2:
