Good article. Tactile buttons, QNX, even Linux and Android.

I hope they don't change their smartphone 911 dialup system . 10,000 times smarter and faster than onstar. That monstrosity is just begging to get hacked.

That seems to be a February '14 article, and looks to be incorrect.

SYNC 2 (http://www.automotive-eetimes.com/en/sync-2-again-with-microsoft-o/s.html?cmp_id=7&news_id=222903625) apparently stays on Microsoft's Windows SmartPhone platform:

Why would any company go with Blackberry/QNX when BB is struggling to stay afloat and become relevant?

June '13: ~$15/share
June '14: ~$7.50/share

Good to know. Guess it's just a rumor.

LOL at MSFTs 'authoriti' Apps don't matter, predictability and stability do. GM sales guys laughing at Ford.

Oh and there's a reason there are laws requiring airplane controls are tactile bumps and shapes.
