I live in New York and have to deal with state inspections that check for emissions and altered emissions systems. Having a 67 GT mustang in the garage with a dual quad big block cobra motor and a 4.11 rear end, I really miss the acceleration when I drive the marauder. I would like to supercharge the marauder to get more acceleration out of it but I am concerned about not being able to pass inspections. Any input would be appreciated. Any info on gas mileage, and experience with the varios kita available would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check out the Trilogy kit. The eaton roots blower its based upon provides HEAPS of low end torque. I just had my kit installed and its awesome. It feels like a big block under the hood!
BTW, the kit leaves the emissions system unmolested and working fine. I beleive the kit has carb certification everywhere except california (which is still pending).

What he said^^^^^^^ The Trilogy package is the best out there, and other alternatives are also available.

I wish I had your problem! :)
I think I can help, first, you HAVE to stop driving the 67,GT!
Second, sell it to me!
Then take the $$ from the sale of the 67 and Buy a Supercharger!
If you like Vortex blowers then get the Reinhart set up.
If roots blowers turn your crank then Trilogy is the way to go.BTW it feels like a bigblock off idle.
There you go,no problem.
And,welcome to the club.

If you're instested in a used Vortech, I am picking up the kit I bought this week.
Its less than half the price of DR's kit.

As mentioned here already, there are several S/C'ers to choose from--Best to check out those referenced by looking over the vendor forum here...and as far as inspection passing goes....as long as the "check engine" light is not
"on" when you pull up for inspection..it should be no different than anyother car inspection.....good luck........Tom

Thanks for the replies about the blowers. The 67 GT is already promised to the son of a friend, you don't sell cars like that you find them good homes so you can keep an eye on them. I cannot go to Philly, but thanks for the invite, I live in Deer Park, Long Island. I will try to make the Lake Grove meet but no promises as I have not cleared it with the boss (wife) yet. I am still up on the air about the blowers, very expensive and I lose the warranty.
