Was sitting in a parking lot and the car started to sputter honk. And then blaring full on like I was Latin on the horn and wouldn't stop car on or off. I was across the street from a bell tired so I took it there and undid the batter cable and took out the relay. What the **** just happened?

Bad horn switch? Bad clockspring? Short in the wiring? Bad relay?

This brings to mind a funny prank we used to pull in high school. This was in the days when you could open a hood from the outside. We used to wire something to the horn. Head lights, turn signals and even brake lights.

Most likely clockspring. There is a small connector on the right side of the dash next to the steering column. There is a dark blue wire in it. That's the horn feed from the clockspring. unplug that connector and see if the horn stops. If so, my $$ is bad clockspring.
