Stopped at by Ford/Mercury dealer today to check arrival of the Marauder that I had ordered, and Holy Cow, it had already come off the transporter about 6:30 this morning! So to say the least, excitement was the order of the day, not to mention spending a good chunk of time there with my wife taking pics. Then got my son from the dealership he works at and went back to put it on the hoist and take pics of underneath.

What a beautiful car, Black with Light Flint interior--magnificient! And never realized that these beasts have an aluminum drive shaft, or was this a running mfg change?

Ordered it on Mar 4(the last week they said I could order), VIN assigned on Mar 30, and it was built on April 1. So altogether pretty quick I think. Will pick it up either Thursday or Friday.

Cheers, John.

Whoops, I didn't proof read my typing very well. Meant to say: "stopped by my Ford/Mercury dealer"

Bear with me, I'm fairly new at this stuff!

You may be right, I don't recall anyone having the black/light flint combo. This may be a remarkable MM.

Welcome Boss01, you refresh my excitement from my first purchase, thank you. BTW, all MMs have aluminum drive shafts.

John, check all the wire harnesses at rear of heads and at brake booster. Rubbing on sharp corners is a common issue.

Enjoy, just be patient with trans.

Thanks for all the warm welcome replies. I know that this site is the best place for learning all there is to know about the Marauder. It's the same when I go on the board over at IMBOC.com(Mustang Bullitt site)--everyone is family, and it certainly helps to have a healthy obsession with all things automotive, especially the Blue Oval!

Yeah, that Light Flint color is very striking with the black car, because actually it comes out tu-tone, Light Flint leather and Dark Charcoal carpet and dash, etc. Very impressive car, and I haven't even driven it yet! Dealer is prepping it, will pick it up on Thursday.

Cheers and happy motoring, John.
