bought one of these off the showroom floor?

I'm not 100% certain. I know they don't corner very well, and I'm not a big fan of red cars, but this would sure look good next to the MM in the garage.
Love that look from the front end.
I wonder if he'd trade even up for an unfinished 68 fastback project?

Saw a 70 go for 350,000 last year.

Is that Canadian?

I think that there were 550 made in 69 and 503 in 70. I just saw the American Muscle program on the Boss Mustangs, and can't recall exactly.
Amazing what the factory was willing to do back when I was 10 years from being legal age to drive. Good to see the hp wars going on as we have them now.
The only way I could swing one of these is to build a clone. That might be fun.

Of course, in '69 you would have had lots of choices in the muscle car department ... the 383 & 440 Roadrunner, Dodge Charger R/T, Pontiac GTO, 396 & 454 Chevelle SS and others immediately come to mind. Choices, choices, choices ........................
Unfortunately, if I was my age now in 1969 ... I'd be 88 today--Fully retired (I would hope) and still tooling the highways in my Marauder having fun.
