I went to the Ford/Mercury Dealer today and talked to the service department manager about these really poorly made wiper-blades on my MM.

I told them they should buy me a new pair of Bosh 22's but they said they had not recived any bad comments about these wiper blades from any other crown vic owners yet. (I am the only buyer of a MM from this dealer so far.)

However I did find a set of heavy duty 22" Motocraft Wiper Blades that fit my MM perfect.

The Motocraft number is WW-2204 or XF6Z-17528-AA.
My cost for the pair was $20.50 w/tax.

I will be keeping my receipt and hope F/M will pay for their poor selection and design of wiper-blades but I won't hold my breath!

Hope this helps!

You know, this is just typical...

I complained to MY dealer right after we got the car (late Sept) and I was told that this is a KNOWN ISSUE with all the 2003 MMs, CVs, and TCs.

Why can't any 2 dealers ever give the same answer to the same question...then they wonder why they are treated with fear and loathing.

I bought the NAPA teflon ones (60-2240) recommended in another thread and they work great, too...thanks for providing us with another choice, schuvwj...

Thanks for the part numbers. I think I'm going to head on over to my L/M dealership and order a set. I hate the stock blades.

I switched to the Bosch Excel 22" that someone here recommended and they look/fit great. Movement on my RainX'd windsheild is smooth. Now...just need to take her out in the rain (but she's "Zaino'd Up" right now)...hate to do that if avoidable...

Well, while the 2003 blades look like no other wiper blade I've ever seen, I must say that they work fine for me. So far great in the rain, and it does rain just a little here in Oregon.

I have no idea though how they are in colder areas or in snow.

My issue was with the position of the right wiper arm, which was too high, and out of spec with the park position dimensions in the Service Manual. The dealer couldn't adjust it by moving the arm on the drive spindle though, it had to be gently bent.
