I have a 1985 Ford F150 pickup. Long wheel base with the 351 engine. My fuel tank sending unit went out and I am on the hunt for a replacement. I called the dealership and they have it as discontinued. I have a buddy that's a manager at oreilly auto parts and he needs to know if it's a 17 or 19 gal tank. I have no way of knowing this. Don't want to fill up the tank to find out either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your tank in the middle or the rear of the truck?
I don't have the owners manual

If your tank is on the side then it's a 19 gallon.
Long Bed: 19 gallons each tank
Short Bed: Front Tank 16.5, Rear tank: 19 gallons
