After putting a little money into my $300 van, here is what we have.

1. Two doors with windows, plus drivers wind mirror. $99 4th of July junkyard sale.

2. Bench seat $29.

3. Wood mount $7.

4. Bolts, nuts, washers. $30.

5. Three sets of seat belts. $30.

What's left is a fresh battery, oil change and tags.

Home Depot sells batteries for $60 less than everyone else with 4 years free replacement warranty. Win.

The rattier this thing looks, the less of a chance people will break into it and steal our gear. I relocated the cage to the middle of the body and got the American lock to work on the back. So even if people break into the window area they cannot get to our stuff.

Cannot wait to drive this thing. Carpet and CD player will probably make it in, but if not, no biggie.

Put your stock rims back on the MM and put the Moon disks on the van.

Win-Win.

Gee, do those seat mounts meet NHSF, NTSB, SAE, NHTSA, etc standards? :)

I hope they (seat belts) are attached in a way that will not give under pressure?

Looks like it needs a spray bomb. I vote matte black.

1 gallon rust oleum, short nap roller, 1 1/2" quality brush. Not kidding. Done it twice with killer results.

If there ever was a good reason to plastidip an entire vehicle this is it. Note Eastwood has their own version now too.

Who are these Bozos? :)

Yes. I will post a picture tomorrow.

Stock wheels are currently on the Marauder. I chased after these moondiscs twice from falling off. I have a new disliking for hubcaps. They should be called flycaps sense they always fly off.

It would look rad though!

That is why the real ones require you to weld tabs to the rims

Great, now you got me thinking and looking stuff up.

Did you primer first or simply poor the paint and roll?

Use a roller pan just like everything else painted with a roller. Thin coat, second coat hauls ass. Don't just spill it on, use the pan. I can do a whole S/10 in under 2 hours :)

No primer, just scuff it all up with a scotchbrite pad. If you paint over anything still shiny it will eventually flake.

I wasn't kidding that I've done this and it looked really good. The very thin napped roller keeps the orange peel to a minimum.

I haven't heard that song in 15 years or so. I had it on cassette on Have A Nice Day, the greatest hits of the 70s.

Here are a few...

Word for word, except the substance abuse.... it's sooooo true....
