When I got my Marauder I noticed a creaking clicking noise every time the car torques. If I hit the gas quickly, hit the brakes, or go over the curb going into my driveway it makes the noise. Even going over uneven surfaces on the road. Very annoying. The car is at Ford right now trying to track down the click. We've changed all of therear body mount bushings and the links and sway bar bushings look fine. The mechanic layed on the floor and put his hand on the drivers side frame when I hit the gas and brakes. He could feel the creaking in the frame but no luck tracking it down. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Gary

I'd really check the rear control arm and Watts link mounting bolts and bushings. Since you live in the "great white north" there maybe some corrosion.

OK, I just picked up my car from Ford where I had all the body mount bushings and rear upper control arm bushings changed and ........ the creek is still there. They said its coming from the rear left frame rail and they are stumped. Its more like a dry creek that happens when you accelerate and brake hard or when the body flexes over a bump. Suggestions please??? Maybe oil spray the crap out of the undercarriage??

Is anything rubbing? May not be apparent when car is on lift and suspension is hanging down.

So, here's an update. Changed the upper and lower rear control arms, watts link, sway bar bushings, rear 4 body mounts, shocks, and ........ It still creaks. The next step is to change the remaining body mounts. What a pain!

The noise can be recreated if the car is in park and you push it forward and back as if you were pushing it. The creak is definitely coming from the back around the trunk area and a clicking can be felt in both frame rails if you hold on to them. The is getting fricken expensive. Please help!!!
My car's clicking nose came from the ends of the steering shafts where they mate to the wheel assys. Just twist them and they click like mad. Just a thought.

I had a clicking/creaking/knocking noise from the passenger back wheel area. Happened randomly in forwards and reverse, going around corners and at all speeds. Didn't matter how fast I was going, it still happened at random inconsistent speeds. Turned out to be the bearings were wearing a groove into the axle shafts.
Well I am assuming that is the problem. I am still trying to get the right axles to put it all together. But I am positive the noise I was hearing was the axle banging around on bearings that were no longer a tight fit.

I just had mine repaired at Ford , Same click / creak noise as described .
Drivers side / (((( was driving me crazy for months ))))
One tech said it was u joints / drive shaft / body mount .
Another older tech said i know what it is .
The Ford tech said he seen this in a 2 Marauders and Crown Vics.
Check or look up in the drivers side frame hole by lower control arm , that piece of metal in there c channel 1 tiny spot weld breaks and spins.
On the hoist you could see where it had moved inside .
1 tiny mig weld noise is gone .
I just had mine fixed last Thursday still nice and quite .

Mine (creak) turned-out to be the transmission cross-member. *It had been removed to install a longer tail shaft housing.
It seems that once distrubed (taken-out / put-back-in) it will/can creak.
FIX: Oiled the seam(s) where the mount meets the frame. *Does need to periodically repeated.

I had this same issue, now I cant say what I did will fix your issue but here is what worked for me. the front fender to body bolts some how became just a bit loose I tightened them down really good and my squeak went away. Sometimes just going over every bolt no matter how much of a pain it takes to get to can fix a lot of issues. It must have taken me 3 years to finally figure it out. Hope this helps for you,
