OK, my trans is dead meat. Anyone got any rec's of folks in LI/NY area who you would vouch for? Money is tight, so if there is anyone with other options that can save $, it will be most appreciated.

OK all. Godzilla stomps again! Got a great deal on a unit with 39K on it! I don't think my original trans shifted as nice as this one does. So, now I have a motor with under 44K on it and a trans with under 40K. And the MPG even went up measurably.
Things are definitely looking up.
