Has anyone had a motorcraft last less than 2 years ?

I replaced the battery Nov 2012 been working good until June where i accidentally killed it, charged it back up good to go. The other day it was dead, I think I left the trunk open a little, i charged it up overnight and i only get 10 volts, sounds like a dead cell. I jumped the car and got 14 volts with car running ran for awhile, and you guessed it when i shut it off it was dead, under 10 volts.

A little puzzled that the battery would go not being that old. hopefully a new battery and i can still make New Hampshire

Your alternator will pump ~ 14v into the battery, but if the battery's cells are too far gone, it will never hold another charge. Killing a battery twice might have been the death of it.

Now gimmie some of those bitcoins...:D

Doesn't matter if you left trunk lid open light will shut off in short time ,its called a battery saver same if you left doors open for a while will turn it self off till you close door and reopen it .

GOOD NEWS

I removed battery last night. Charged up and load tested and the battery failed again, like i thought it would. So today i took the battery to ford to get my replacement battery, because they have a warrenty for 36 months. I told them the battery is bad, they started with we dont know that we need to test it on are test bench. I just laughed ans said whatever it will not hold a charge and fails the load test.

An hour later the service manger says your battery is dead here is your new battery free

Good luck... you do know it will fail at the most inopportune time.

Not out of the woods yet, I have some issues going on, one. Issue is I had my car up on jacks all day to put the new kyb rear shocks on and the mount kits say they were delivered yesterday but I never got them , that was just one issue. I have to play this one 1 step at a time hope to see everyone tomorrow
