Seems about normal, what's the complaint?

Thanks for the heads up. I and plenty of members here know that Stealership well. Won't be going back there to get work done.

Now you know why I not only record the mileage when I bring the car for an oil change at the dealership, but I also wait there and watch them like a hawk.

The service manager once took my supercharged 1993 Mustang GT for a test run after the oil change to see that it was done properly. What BS is that?
By the time I finished with the dealer, the oil change was free, the manager got a three day vacation... unpaid of course... and my name has a star next to it in the computer. Only one mechanic ever works on my cars... and I got to choose him.

First oil change I had done on the MM when I bought it was at the old dealership I used to work at... yeah came back with 5 more miles on it. Said something to the service manager and he was irate with the lube tech who admitted he took it for a test "run". I don't blame the dealership, just the tech. Service manager apologized and gave me 4 future oil changes for free, which I used on my non-fun vehicles.

At least they weren't cruising around in the middle of the night buying weed and picking up hookers, like the hotel valets . . .

Academy Ford in Laurel. The service manager then is now the general sales manager, so he made sure to take care of me when I bought my Taurus and Fusion from there.

Or their sister-in-law taking it for a run down the 1/4 while manually shifting, which blows the trans and not only do they forget to get permission but to tell you they blew the trans.

Great , I make their sponsored car shows , Last year they had 5 beautiful AACA Mustangs on their Sho case floor , my club had 5 classic lincolns on the outside runway. also back in 1984 ,my Turbo Coupe bird was DX'd from their to Hill and Saunders Ford[now Lindsey ford] where I picked it up.:burnout:[long ago]

When I was a teenager I performed that same valuable service on my parent's cars!!

They never saw redline when Mom & Dad drove them....so I would always:

"blow out the carbon" with plenty of sprirted redline runs!

BTW: I never charged stealership hourly rates for the service.

Some friends were valets at a well known fancy hotel and what happened in Ferris Bueller really did happen.

Ahhhhh....the memories!

I bought my '85 Mustang GT 5.0 from Hill & Saunders Ford.

IIRC....I paid the princely sum of $11,650 total, on the road!

In 1970, I paid $ 2,600 to take the Boss 302 off of the dealers inventory. He thanked me. I now insure that car for over $ 75,000.
In 1993, I paid $ 17, 350 for my GT Hatchback. I then within two weeks added the first supercharger, and other mods. To date, I have added $ 35,000 in mods to that $ 17,000 car.
In 2004, I paid $ 34,000 for the Marauder. It was the first and only MM sold at the dealership. I have made mods which now total over $ 9,000.
I hope they have a pill for my illness.
