So I replaced my IAC last night with a brand new one and now my car is driving completely like crap. I read I could have over-tightened it but it doesn't seem tight; I tightened it down with my fingers and once snug I turned it 1/8th a turn with a ratchet. Basically I start it and the rpm goes up (around 1500-2000) down to 0 and up again and down again....then I killed it because I didn't want something to happen. What could I have done wrong? I did disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes after I put the replacement on.
