Spotted this at my friends car lot out back. Asked what he was doing with it and he said he had taken it in as part of a trade years ago but if I wanted it I could have it! Cool!

Got it home and cleaned it up to see what I was dealing with. Frame was poorly painted, gas tank leaking, rust everywhere. It was a Roketa MC56 50cc mini chopper but was converted to a hard tail by welding bars in place of the shocks.

When the exhaust stud broke the previous owner welded the exhaust pipe to the frame.

Lot of rust.

Disassembly requires. Lots of labeled bags and boxes. First order of business was to remove years of grime and lots of overspray from the car lot.

Broke the easyout in the stud so I had to resort to drastic measures.

Tig welder to the rescue. A little weld and some grind to get rid of the crap. Repeat about 6 time using an infrared thermometer to control keep the temps in check.

Got the basic shape just needs finish sanding then drill, tap and paint.

Here's the almost finished product. Lots of welding, grinding, polishing, sanding and painting to get it to here.

Other side. I still have a few things to do like make a seat pan to cover all of the wiring and paint the exhaust because it is pretty rough looking but it goes pretty good. Had a lot of fun on my little project. And no I didn't paint the tank I scored a NOS tank and that's the way it came.

I'll have to get a picture of me on it so you can see how small it is. It is very well proportioned so it looks like a full size bike but it is pretty small.
