Rear Axle information

Does anyone know where you add fluid to the rear axle. I see a hose that comes out of the top that goes to nowhere and it is clogged up with dirt.

Other than that without taking something loose I don't see anywhere to add axle fluid.

As always any info is greatly appreciated.

Plug is on the front. Square 3/8" drive ratchet and short extension.

Not sure, but the hose may be a vent and should be free of dirt.

and Mr. Man is right, it's a vent tube... shouldn't be clogged.
