I had 2 aneurisms surgically repaired yesterday, one in my abdominal aorta and another one in my right illiac artery. The procedure lasted about 1.5 hrs and left me bruised and sore as hell. I was really apprehensive about this, being in the medical field and knowing the odds.. Glad to be on the green side of the sod for a few more years.

This is great news Dan. Glad to hear that the surgery went well. :D Bruised and sore ain't bad if they had to crack open the container. Thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

Not 1 but 2! Glad they were caught in time. I know first hand how you feel and making it though something like this. Listen to the Doctors to get to a complete recovery. Don't be hard on the "home" nurse:)

Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes. Things are progressing well and I plan to return to work on Monday of next week. Not bad for having a major surgery. I have a few lifting restrictions and am still a bit sore, but all in all I am feeling pretty good. Now you all get registered for MV12 so I can see all my peeps!!

Great news! I remember when my Dad had an abdominal aortic aneurysm diagnosed and repaired with a stent. He told me they are often undetected and, when they burst, you bleed out internally before the paramedics get there. Glad you caught it and had it fixed. No dirt nap for you!
