The Five Speed Swap is Complete!

Well, for the past two Mondays (our day off) Jeff and I have been working on a five speed TKO 600 swap into my '69 Chevelle and it is done. Tonight I took it out for a test run. The end is result is 70 mph = 1,900 rpm. I may have to go with a numerically higher rear gear!!! LOL

This car is now a blast to drive with 402 in front of a no joke first gear and a heck of an overdrive gear!

Color me happy in black!!!

The suspension on this car actually works pretty well and the rear end does not hop terribly.

Ask my neighbors how it looked when I rolled out on front of my home shop. :D

Member, Justbob, has a 6 speed in his Trilogy marauder..so pioneer days are over..lol

Just Bob has one and I think a fellow named Pier makes pedals.

His pedals are for a cable set up. Even if I would have used the T56 I bought first I would've converted to hydraulic. Luckily the TR6060 doesn't come with a choice! So much easier on the leg in traffic and no adjustments. Win win.
