Must be, mine whines and squeels non-stop, said to be normal operation in the unwritten rules of the swap... hmm.

I remember getting 29mpg on my pretty much stock Marauder last year on my 50+ mile hwy commute each way for about a week... :bigcry:

Well I only drive to to Lousiville and back...

Seriously though I got 22.4 mpg on the round trip from Detroit to Louisville and back to Detroit. I do cruise at 65mph on the highway tho, old man car = old man speeds.

Besides those style trips I don't bother measuring the fuel economy or even pay attention to it...

Yup, just as surprised as you, 55-60mph for 50 miles to and 50 miles back for 5 days, one fill up yielded 28.9mpg. At the time I had just a JLT, no spare in the trunk, no sub boxes, had lowered the front one coil, and I had just installed the front chin spoiler which I think had something to do with it.

Less weight, better aerodynamics and driving like an old man.

the car values are in the toilet, except mint low mile or prime supercharged ones that only a Marauder lover with bank will/can buy.
$12k cars from a year ago are $8k cars now. Happens every time I buy a specialty car, sorry guys!

I get 19mpg spirited, 21mpg full highway sissy foot.

Why aren't any of those low cost inexpensive deals ever in my area? Always 1,000(s) miles away:(

I got like 18 to and from Louisville, it probably had something to do with the West Virginia mountains and my cruising speed between 80 and 90 mph.

"Mileage may vary" widely based on who's driving, even if they're all driving the same car.

Ever heard of hyper-milers? I'm not one, but do watch my mpg back and forth to work. Don't usually worry about it when I'm in a Marauder. I see people in traffic every day that are clearly burning through lots more fuel than they need to.

Speed kills - your mpg :)

Your speedo was off so you had no idea how fast we were going.. prolly figured we were doing ~75mph based on your speedo!

LMAO, I usually cruise at 65-70 mph, too. I thought I was the only one! ;) However, the exhaust note above 75mph is better than most of my favorite music!

PS. I wonder if the exhaust would sound even better with an Eaton swap (AND the belt on, lol)!

i had a similar experience when going to sell mine. the dealers offered me what you would pay for a regular grand marquis. I'm just going to keep it until the wheels fall off/it rusts.
