My MM has a slight noise in the valve train at idle and low RPM. This is not a knocking or ticking noise. It's more of a rattling noise. You can hear it from both heads. It may very well be typical of the 32 OHV motor. It's possible it's just the roller chain. I'm just wondering if this is a noise the is common? Once you increase RPM, the noise dissipates.

Does it happen after the car has warmed up? If not then you have another world of headaches.
If so, then you have same that was coming from my passenger side.
Replaced primary timing chain tensioners with the upgraded iron units and replaced timing chain guides & arms.
The noise is slack in the timing chain smacking against the guides and/or arms at idle, once rpms increase so does the oil psi to the primary chain tensioners and the slack is briefly taking out of the timing chain.
