View Full Version : Floor Mat Lettering Cleaning Tips

I just cleaned my floor mats with Turtle Wax OXY carpet cleaner, and they look great! I went over the MARAUDER lettering on the drivers side, because it looked dingy, but it didn't seem to make a difference. They're more gray, than white looking. (Like the passenger side.) Has anybody found something to use, that brings back the color? I looked through the threads here, and goggled it too, and couldn't find anything on it. I'm afraid to use something that'll ruin the mat.

2 out of my 3 passenger side mats have the same problem I would just take some degreaser and a hard brush with some water pressure wash off a nd go over the letters thoroughly if it doesn't come out then I have no idea why they do that

I may have posted prematurely. When I posted my question, it had been 2 hours, and I didn't see any difference. Well, this morning it looked a lot better. Not as bright as the passenger side, but better. Though, I did use a regular sponge with soap and water, after the initial cleaning. I also wiped the lettering, (Before the sponge, soap, and water.) with a dry paper towel, and I got even more dirt off. (I guess a regular towel would have worked.) Could've been bad lighting too. :dunno:

Don't get the letters dirty i the first place.... cheapie Wally World mats for everyday use.

They're another set I just bought. The passenger side looks brand new! Even better than the one I have in there now. I needed a better looking drivers. Mine had that heel wear, but under the brake, instead of the gas. Go figure!
