I am trying to figure out the headlight switch. I looked in the shop manual. Does the lights turn on by pulling the switch out or turning it?

Turning it. Pull out for fog lights.

Is it the same for a 64 Marauder?

'64 marauder would be pull it out for lights and twist if for dimming dash lights and turning interior lights on.
