My 22 year old college grad son just bought himself a brand new 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T 100th anniversary edition with the 5.7 Hemi. Black metallic with a black leather interior, special trans, diff, Nav and more.
He's already talking about mods like a supercharger, Magnaflows, tint, etc. Yep, he's my son alright!!! :burnout:

I am very proud of him!! :D

I LOVE it! Not as fast as my car. ;) He has a built in 0-60 monitor. His best is 5.66 so far. I imagine it might have a 1/4 mile gadget too. I haven't had any time to study the car with him yet.

The wheels on the car are two tone. You have to see them to appreciate them. Absolutely stunning. Plus the calipers are coated with some black granular material to keep from rusting. Nice touch!

Congrats! He's gonna love it. Just be careful pulling out from sharp declining driveways. I can't count how many times I sc***** the chin spoiler during the time I had rented one a few weeks ago.

Granted it was just the SXT (base model v6), but it sounded good and power was decent for 6 cylinders of fury (Shift into first gear and turn traction control off). The hood is as big as a smart car and the wheel base was longer than the Titanic. The blind spots on that car drove me insane. It took almost a week to get used to them.

Overall, I would rent again, possibly buy one too if I could come up with the dough for a V8 variant.

I love them as well, but can't justify payments on a car slower and not as comfortable as the Marauder.
I'll be shopping the used market in a few years. Congrats and be proud indeed!

Agreed :: buy 2012 up ,older models have issues [ Mercedes parts breaking ] front ends weak.[ challenger v6 Ole ladys next car ]
