So I ended up getting an LX Sport instead of a MM. I've tried to get on the crownvic.net site but I'm not having any luck.
I registered the first time and got a message stating that I had been banned despite never having been signed up before. I tried to email them but the only contact email they give is a "no reply" address.
I tried a second time using a different email address and now I get a message saying that my account hasn't been approved. It's been 4 months now.
Any chance that anyone here is active on crownvic.net and can help me contact the right people?
Thanks.

But yeah it can take several months before you get approval.

Thanks for the replys. I was really hoping to dive into the tech folders on that site, but I guess it's not in the cards right now.

It's a Modular 2v, everything you need to know can be found on other forums where they treat you like a human being:

I used to be on CVN a lot years ago, but that place has just turned into a whacker paradise. Idiots with P71's that obsess with lightbars, antennas, radios and spotlights.

There are a small handful of members that actually do have nice rides with significant power, but the number of actual down to earth, decent people there is offset by a lot of other idiots it seems.

The crowd here is WAY more chill IMHO.

ALL of the above are from early-day, active, dedicated members that contributed VOLUMES of information and make-up a good portion of the site's BOK (Body Of Knowledge). There are few of us left, however, personally, I've relegated myself to casual drivebys due to treatment in the past and admin' issues. *It SURE t'ain't like the o' days.

Though a 10+year member I've held-back replying to this post, however, can provide additional points-of-reference.

Don't mean to get off subject but can anyone tell me what type speedo cluster is in the '01 Vic Sport? Is it the digital readout like in the regular Vic's and GM LSE's of that year? I found a Vic Sport and a GM LSE for sale both '01s I may look into getting 1 of them to add to my Marauder.

Same story for me when I registered years ago. It took about 6-7 months until my account was finally approved. I kept getting e-mails welcoming me but when I went to get on the site, it came back that my account wasn't approved by the administrator.

I do have to say though that I have met some nice folks over there and some of the members and I have gotten together for mini-cruise ins. But, there have been some people who have given me grief over things as well. I guess you will have that anywhere you are posting things that can be viewed by a large audience.

I do find that there is a lot of good technical information over there for us 2-valvers.

Only one listed when looking for 2001 CV speedo on junkyard sites.

Both (Sport / LSE) have analog speedometers ... just like in regular Vic's.
Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport (http://www.gdmjoe.com/gothvic/documents/lxsport/lxsport.html)Digital instrument clusters were never offered/available in the Sport or LSE -and- digital isn't at all common in the majority of the Crown Victoria models.

My '01 Sport does indeed have a digital instrument cluster from the factory. It came with the LX Comfort Plus Group. Here is a pic of the interior. Had the car since new.

That's because technically it's not a Sport. Rather a mid-year LX with an optional 5(five) passenger Sport Appearance Package. *Only available with the Comfort Group (65C) -or- Comfort Plus Group (65E ... which included Electronic Instrumentation).

2002 was the 1st year for the LX Sport as a model.

OK thanks everyone, its starting to make a little since now: At first when I was getting" they didn't put the digital gauge in the Vic Sport"...I was thinking to myself ( they did because I saw it myself", but didn't say anything), that's why I asked if it could be swapped out with the analog one. But now I realize the '01 Sport is not really a Sport although people call it a Sport, it just have a Sport Appearance Package which is confusing since it has the center console but is completely understandable since FoMoCo labeled '03 Marauders as a Grand Marquis by the "75" in the Vin. So I come to the conclusion that just like people label the Marauders as having a Cobra motor the same applies with the Vics that have center console, they will be call a Vic Sport

Update on the original subject- I found a Facebook group for CVN and was informed that the only persons at CVN who could set up new users have been "MIA for ages". Chances for getting signed up are slim to none.
