When are we going to see a "real" carbon fiber replacement for out "dot matrix" parts? (Dash and doors)
As soon as we have money trees in the back yard.

LOL :baaa:
when I read that i screamed. Zack man you are funny but on the cool the GM has wood grain dash parts. If im correct they should be the exact fit for the MM. But to be clever you would have to either cover up the Grand Marquise writing or cut that part out and add something else to fill that spot in. Or how about laying that decal these guys came up with in here across it. I pretty sure someone will come up with a solution.

They are exact fit, Crown Vic too...But the dot-matrix is so much cooler!
Cept for me, I'd need new front door panals if I were to try that...

I've seen these but they do not include the long horizontal pieces from the right and left of the steering wheel nor do they include the door trip pieces. I've seen carbon fiber looking film for sale in sheets, maybe someone can apply this to the trim??

Yea, I thought about it, but never had the guts to start.

The door trim is thermally attached to the skin (plastic studs formed to the inside of the trim is melted to the inside of the door skin). I know because I took one off to consider options. Big PITA. So is the shifter bezel. The dash trim pops off with spring clamps.
Exoticwooddash.com will resurface the dot-matrix trim for $0.95 a square inch  with just about any of thier patterns. I already looked into that too.
Now go plant that money tree and send me a transplant branch...

I looked into replacing that silver dot matrix pattern with real carbon fiber (including the area around the shifter and all the doors).. I got a quote of $2500 bucks!
