Hi...it's been a while since I have visited here, but I have been distracted by other things.
I'm curious about putting a set of 2014 Mustang seats in my 2005 crown vic sport. Is this possible?

Mustang seats in the crown vic would be a nice custom touch. You may want to change over the crown vic base seat bracket as it is made for the c/v floor shape.

If I can get them for a reasonable price, I'll just go ahead and purchase them, and try them out. My biggest fear is the seat mounted air bags. I'd hate to set them off!

The seat bottoms(tracks), are part of the seat base (cushion area) itself, meaning, you will need a saw or plasma cutter to reuse the tracks for anything except a CV seat.
Airbags are not so much as problem as is the seat position sensors and weight sensors, good luck.
