its also got a vic reverse panel. probably a p71 panel too as that badge on the rear is most likely hiding the 2 holes there. 300b since the gas door is manual. someone had ss inserts done which is nice. no pics of the engine or interior though. not much else to go on.

price is high for the mileage and the fact that its had some decent exterior modding done.

Nice call on the reverse lights missed that the 1st time through the pictures.

Its a DBP/Dark Charcoal car which if I remember correctly is 1 of 115? Super rare and super cool!

The rear spoiler and window shades are hideous. I say go for it. Price is not really that bad. Good luck.

How hard would it be to replace all of that stuff back to stock form?

It's had like 6 owners too. Rear trunk panels are obsolete so it means finding a used one and painting it. Removing spoiler patch holes and paint, estimate $500-$700

Hum -6 owners/ -I'm not superstitious ,but this car might be Jinxed .

carfax says it had 6 owners and it hit a deer in 2010 with left side damage.

A poor car fax could give you bargaining power on the price, if the car checks out otherwise.

finding suitable replacement parts is the hardest if you want original. im in the same spot as you though. my marauder has a vic rear and it drives me nuts. you can either hope an original comes up for sale close to you OR use some aftermarket product to darken it to your tastes.

you can also remove that goofy spoiler with a proper looking original or aftermarket look alike. thats fairly straight forward.

did anyone notice the voltmeter? reading kinda high.

man youd think dealerships could afford decent quality cameras. it looks like these were taken in 1998. im trying to check for tears in the seats. so far none but i could have missed one due to poor resolution.

nothing looks like it was replaced internally which is fantastic. factory radio, gauges, floor mats still there.

there is a scuff on the driver side door window switch panel.

i have a feeling the guy put that obnoxious price in hopes someone would bite without trying to haggle to much. it aint worth more than 8k in its current condition.

its credibility is that its a dark blue pearl and its got dark charcoal interior and that combo as said is rare as hell. its worth the buy if you intend to return it to original glory.

In image #17, the one with the adjustable pedal controls and traction control switches, what is that mystery doo-hickey button (knob) on the left?

Is there some custom alarm device on it?

Probably an override switch for the TC.

4 thread vs 9 thread.

I understand that 2003 and earlier heads had 3-4 thread spark plug holes and are more prone to damage and plug "Blow-Out" where the 2004's and later have 9 threads and are much more forgiving!!

BTW......WTF does this mean?? "DAFUQ?"

It looks like an LED light for an alarm system.... if it was in a car I bought, I would replace that panel immediately.

All blue marauders were 2003 300B models.

My alarm / remote starter has that same light on the other side of the panel. Never really notice it, had to go look. Probably has the receiving antenna on the windshield up close to the visor. Just noticed the clock in the radio, not trim ala 2004 also.
I'd get a trunk panel and proper rear spoiler on it for a grand and have a decent, nice rare combo.

Not sure anyone noticed, but the volt meter is showing 16 volts. There may be a problem with the alternator / voltage regulator or the gauge. Also the fake oil pressure gauge is reading low (may be caused by the over voltage the alternator is putting out).

If you are going to replace the dummy oil pressure gauge, it make sense to replace the volt one as well so the faces match, although there is a procedure to take the factory face and change out the face on the real oil pressure gauge, but it is slightly delicate procedure. Volt gauge is reasonable cost

I have one that may be for sale. It's not boosted therefore doesn't get driven much. 68k on the clock. Does need paint correction as do most blues. Pm me if interested. I am a non motivated seller though.

I'm sorry to show my ignorance, but I'm having a hard time what you mean by the reverse panel.. Are you talking about the white lights that should be greyed out? Or is the whole panel replaced?

RubberCtyRauder
11-17-2014, 11:06 AM
Reverse lights and panel all one piece. Can not be removed. Can use nightshade to get close tinting of reverse lights

jmsa540

I wonder why the panel was replaced? That's odd. So pretty much I have to find a wrecked blue one, right?

RubberCtyRauder
11-17-2014, 03:03 PM
possible unreported accident, break -in. ( can break out the reverse light and reach hand inside and pull inside trunk release..etc..Prolly won't find a blue one, but can be painted (have to mask off the reverse lights) used panels go for $150-$250ish when you can find them. personally, i would steer clear of that car..6 owners, hit a deer, crappy spoiler which will require quite a few bucks to rememedy the right way..Better of talking with Jerry (lji372 about his blue..he has 3 maruaders and takes care of them)

Might be a real oil pressure gage reading correctly? I'd have to see that car in person. many question marks need to be answered, even if it is rare.
