Picked the car up used (1999 Grand Marquis). Previous owner did not write the factory code anywhere in the manual so I'm SOL.

Anyway I can get the factory code for the car or program my own code without it?

Also, the car did not come with any key FOBs. I assume, since it has the keypad on the doors, that the car does have keyless entry, correct? If so, what is the part# for the FOB I need?

Check the drivers door by the hinge for a little white sticker for the door code and the left side trunk hinge for another one with the trunk code.

This is where they are at on our cars, not sure on the older models.

If still at a loss, it can also be found on the drivers window module behind the door panel. Once again at least on '03 up.

It will be definitely on the drivers door module behind the drivers door panel. You got lucky with the 1999 because you can program the remotes with just cycling the key...the 1998 required it to be programmed with the ford scan tool.

Driver door module, the code should be on it. I believe I have a couple of extra remotes.

You'll need the FCC number not the part number. Your Ford dealer should be able to get the FCC number for you.

Takes about five minutes to open up and access the code on the module in the drivers door. Dealerships gonna want to charge you if you go to them.

I got two brand new oem FOBS off amazon for less then $20/ shipped.

The sticker was on the trunk hinge, thankfully. Thanks guys!
Now to find a proper FOB & see if it works!
