This article was written last Christmas. I guess the floodgates are going to open.

It would be neat to see what, if any come over. I need to make a friend in Cuba to do a trade with. I'll send him some Craigslist special and he can send me a 57 Fairlane or 58 Edsel all original with some patina. They'd be a good stable mate with the Marauder.

Their Parts counter at the Dealership has been shutdown for 55 years ! I doubt you'll find anything very cherry over there. If a Kubota tractor wheel is handy and fits, they are rolling with it.

Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen.

They have the great tasting cigars and many American made antique and classic cars.

They can keep them. Classic American cars won't be here as soon or as many of their unwanted people will be, soon. Mr. Pres getting all lovey dovey with Castro. Really?
Not derailing a cool thread though...interesting that they have some of our relics still in use!
Amazing where our cars have been sent to, and then cherished.

I've had a few "cuban's" that tasted like dog *****.... I've also had some "cuban's" that gave you a "high" feeling.

I think most of the cars in Cuba will be "sheet metal" parts cars only. Most of the mechanical's are repaired with chewing gum, wire and paper mache.....

Why?

The embargo hasn't worked. Once they get a taste or "re-taste" of capitalism there will be big changes....

Cuba's biggest export will be low wage, no wage, low skill, no skill people who will compete with the illegals for the jobs the 50 million on food stamps won't take.

Maybe the US can get convicted cop killer Joanne Chesimard back to serve the rest of her life in prison.

This thread has the potential to become a political hot potato...let's try to keep the discussion civil and on track...
