Well, with the holiday break I finally dropped the pan at 36,407 miles on my 2nd Marauder. The lollipop was in the pan, indicating the first time pan drop.
The pan had streaks of the black metal muck. Probably should have serviced at 30K, but at least it now has a clean magnet.

You did good.

Most wear material in an automatic transmission is generated in the first 10-15,000 miles from new. It is this wear material that the filter and magnet are designed to catch.

I bet if you do it again in another 30,000 you won't find near as much metallic sludge on the magnet.

Did you add a drain plug?
