Just watched this for the first time...A KIA commercial, where the diginified business man steps out of his Pacific Heights home, and walks towards a junk beater, something from the General I believe.

It's a car cover! LOL! I love it. Great commercial! My tummy hurts!

But, KIA and the General can come kiss my azz anyway...

Saw it the other day myself. I had no idea what car it was for but I loved the concept of the "beater-camo" cover.

Why Hell, Tom, we're quite inventive here. I am sure someone will mix up something real easy and quite soon, with the right amount of pre-paid support.

I just wish I was the guy who thought of it...

I think the cover was a Chevy Celebirty., someone correct my spelling, then again who cares it from GM.

Close... it's a Citation! Remember the X-cars?

Btw, is there a cure for useless car knowledge?

Many folks in Detroit would have it the other way. They'd have a beater car and a cover that looked like a decent car.

Yup, it's a great commercial. Too many car companies have commercials that the Marauder SHOULD have had!:shot:

Yep - a cool commercial. But a rip-off of a scene in "The Cat in the Hat." The cat's car looks like a Hummer until he pulls off the "dust cover" then it's revealed to be some wierd Suess-mobile.

Talk about your useless knowledge...

Chevrolet Citation

Pontiac had a version of the same car too, I forget what they called theirs.

I think it was the Phoenix.

Finally saw the ad

Very good stuff.

I liked him trying to look stealthy as he was stuffing the cover into the back, when another car drives by.

and when he's checking a "spot" on the side.

Maybe we can have a car cover that looks like his KIA :)

Guys, I sat in that car at the Chicago Auto Show. What a P.O.S! Unfortunatly, I'm comparing the quality of materials with the ones in Lincolns I've owned. The Kia's door handle is plastic "Chrome" and feels as if you could bust it off by pulling it too hard. The wood like appliques really look cheap and should be used as fire wood. What a joke. I'd feel like a real high roller flossin' that Kia up to the valet at the casino. I'd toss him the keys, wipe a streak off w/ my suit sleve and say, "Be careful with it!" Then tip him a fin. NOT! Actually a Kia driver's tip is probably an empty packet of Sweet-N-Low! No thanks, I'll keep my MM. (Cool idea for a commercial however.)

I finally saw the commercial as well. Too funny...and yes a Citation. My very first car at age 16. Didn't look that bad though!
