Your #3845 is significant because it was made at the exact time of the switch-over from the 300A to the 300B. Since you have #3844 in Black at that point, only 1 other than Black MM (probably Silver Birch since Blues started in late November) was made before your car. Therefore, the 300A vs. 300B change happened on 20 August 2002 (or pretty close to that date). If your car is a 300B, it may be the very first Black 300B to hit the streets. Cool number !!!

There must have been a mix of 300A and 300B and "Pre-Decontented" MMs during this period. I would guess that the Blackbird is probably among the last of the 300As produced.
