Scammers posing as the IRS want you to call this number 360-262-6174 to find out how the IRS is suing you.

This scam is a new one to me. Tell your older relatives, the voice sounds authentic.

actually has been around for a few years now - try to get you to pay your "back taxes" right away by credit card before you get fined. Unfortunately this stuff obviously works or they wouldn't keep doing it.

I got one of those calls a few months ago...the woman on the recording was obviously uneducated and very unprofessional. I just hung up.

I don't do ANY business over the telephone. I don't care if they say they are with the IRS, Law Enforcement, the court system or Microsoft. If there is no way to verify who someone is, I don't conduct business with them.
