My Marauder has been in storage since late November (battery out) and finally I will be able to take it out of storage this Saturday.

So my question is what are your recommendations on how to ease it back into service.

Some say turn the key and go and I have heard others say pedal to the floor for 5 to 6 seconds so it won't start and it primes the engine with oil, then start it and go.

What are your tips/thoughts on how to safely wake the beast?

That's what I do every year, no issues.

Either way will work.

I would recommend taking it for a soft ride first time out to make sure everything is working properly before you hammer it. JM:twocents:

After sitting since Sept. mine was fired up for less than 10 minutes before trailered 12 hours to spin a dyno up to 704 hp!

Watch out for the petal to the floor start-up. Some tunes delete this so you may be in for a surprise like a full throttle start-up.

Normal start-up, let it warm up, drive to heat up tires, check tire pressure, easy driving to burn off old gas, top off tank with fresh gas, beat the crap out of it. :D

I start it and drive, although I drive like a normal person through the whole first tank of gas a.k.a. whatever fuel sat in it all winter. During that first tank of gas I make sure all brakes and lights and drivetrain components are doing okay.

Then tank of gas number 2 and

:agree:
Your just getting the car out now!!
I had mine out since early April for Louisville.:D

I would also check the battery cus mine wouldn't charge after sitting for 5 months & had to replace it.Also spray some sea foam in the intake & put some in the tank with new gas & drive like you stole it.:D

Thank-you for all the replies.

@WPG MERC, I thought I would have been out sooner but too much snow, we still have 3 feet on the lawns and it snowed 5 inches today. Much better weather heading into the weekend.

It was the worst winter ever recorded since they started keeping track in the 1800's with a new record of 18 feet 2 inches total snow fall this winter.

Itching for the weekend so I can turn the key.

Don't hammer on it warm it up slow and easy, run some of the old gas out and refill and repeat till tank is fresh gas, then drive it like you wish.
