Not sure if this was the singer on the drunk version of the recording everyone knows or the one that was in the lineup when the song was actually a hit.

BTW the ORIGINAL version was by Richard Berry and his Pharaohs in 1956. Yes Richard Berry, not Chuck Berry. Finally, the best known arrangement of this song was from the Wailers in 1961. No relation to Bob Marley.

Animal House is WRONG.

That movie takes place in 1962, but they were singing the version recorded in 1963.

The Animal House version is of the recorded version with the recently deceased singer. Who wasn't even in the band when the song charted!
