While the Tesla may be marginally faster through the 1/4 miles the difference in trap speed make me think the Hellcat driver has a bigger smile on his face.

Cool set of wicked quick cars!

I'll bet that the Hellcat can make more 1/4 mile runs (and maintain those speeds) than the Tesla can before its' battery goes bye bye.

You can fill a gas tank with 97 octane in about 3-4 minutes....:D

*sigh* The Tesla looks like every Japanese car on the road and the Charger no longer looks like a Charger.

Fail.

Yep....

Looks like a widened Dodge Dart....:puke:
and a Hyundai...:snore:

BTW: Not to get off topic....but....

I assume that the Tesla has heated seats, heated mirrors, a rear window defroster, a heater & fan....

What's the range on a Tesla on a snowy, cold winter day?

The Tesla makes no noise...at WOT you have to have noise and I bet the Charger makes a lot of it.

Tesla is a gadget geek's car...charger is a car guys car. I actually like this charger more than the last two front facias. Charger will be the car that replaces my marauder as a daily...hopefully in about 200,000miles lol

I can't wait that long, 170k for me. Soon as my Marauder sells I'm off to the Dodge dealer :banana2:

If you factor in the price of each car, the hellcat makes it in the reality mode. The cost of the Tesla keeps it in the "Insane" mode.

Would definetly grab the P85D, I don't care how much power you shove behind it, a charger is still a charger, and there are millions of them.

I wonder if there is a way to make electric cars like the P85D faster??

Obviously with normal combustion engines you can add all kinds of crap, but what do you do in the case of electric cars???

At least when the Charger is 15 years old you'll still be able to find replacement parts unlike trying to find a coolant crossover when they rust out or bumpers for a MM lol. Then to top it off still hold value. That Tesla will end up in a landfill once that battery dies.

With the advances in battery technology, replacement batteries are getting cheaper and cheaper, plus I think it comes with a 8 year warranty with expected life of 10-12 years

Tesla also has a solar powered supercharger they are planning on selling to the public. Solar powered vehicles will be nice for commuting.

I think the only thing you can do is remove weight, rotational mass with lighter wheels, tweak (hack) the electronic drive controllers for max output vs balance for traction and distance.
