Me too. Ben E's music and the Drifters, even with his replacement, brings me back to the late 50's/early 60's.

Songs such as "Spanish Harlem", "I Count The Tears", the list goes on......

My favorite was not considered one of his greatest hits.

"Dance With Me"

STAND BY ME

Was his biggest hit and the most recognized "Oldie" of all time from 1961.

He was the former singer of The Drifters and my favorite song from that era is There Goes My Baby.

I feel ya Jim, but it's probably just you and me on this board. :(

Because today's music isn't music...it's noise with a beat.

Supposedly, first singer/group to add violins to a rock/doo wop song.
