Could someone please assist with the correct part # for the Ford OEM oil filter.
I want to be sure I use the right one and the dealership I go to seems to always speak about the Grand Marquis when I try to talk parts for my Marauder. Thanks

Motorcraft FL820S. You can get them at Wal Mart for a few bucks less than the dealership.

what they said^^^
It doesn't matter if it's for a 4.6 2V in a Grand Marquis, a 5.4 3V in an F350 or the 4.6 4V in a Marauder...all modular motors use the same filter, FL820S...

Thank-you for the replies, much appreciated, and I would have never thought of trying Walmart, so I will start there.:)

FL820S is the correct oil filter.
Walmart has the Motorcraft semi synthetic 5w20 (5 quarts) for less than $18.00.

None of the Michigan Walmarts I have been in since last year have had any FL820S oil filters in stock

I would have never thought of trying Walmart, so I will start there.:)I've heard Wally's in the Canada don't stock Motorcraft filters. The next best thing would be the FRAM Ultra. If you can get a WIX or a NAPA Gold, those would be good choices, too.

Motorcraft, Purolator (Pure One), WIX, NAPA Gold, Mobil1. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't use Fram oil filters, even if they were free. Notice that I said "FRAM Ultra"...it's a far cry from the orange can and is respected even by the FRAM haters on BITOG.
I mentioned it because our brothers in the Canada have far fewer choices and the Ultra is a good filter.

wix makes almost every oem filter, also i love k&n oil filters, they have very large oil flow holes. They are always top 3 in reviews
